Pearl

Now I am not referring to those perfect, round pearls which are mostly shell as cultivated by Japan, but to those natural misshapen ones found whilst opening a shell. Pearls have always had a place in magick and mystical things, and symbolize purity, trust, generosity & even the Moon herself. Their connection with the Moon means they can be used in Moon magick or simply placed on the altar as a symbol of her. Wearing pearls can bring luck and wealth to the wearer, especially if with ruby. An old tradition is to give a pearl as a gift to a baby girl, to encourage her to grow up pure and beautiful. There is something about pearls and women that just help increase their femininity and self esteem. In fact, they help people to see the inner beauty of themselves and of others too.
