Battleplans for the war against the Big “C”

They say that one in three of us will get Cancer. That is one third of the population here in the UK…!! That is a huge percentage so more and more of our families are affected by this disease than ever. This hasn’t been a subject I have approached before because I have never felt it was my place. My Candidiasis battle is my war against one of the triggers of cancer, in the hope that the fight may avoid the battle and keep it at bay. However, it has become personal now it has touched my family and forced me to look at the situation from a different angle. This viewpoint is my viewpoint but I am putting it down on paper as it may just help someone else along the way, like my candida battle has.

If I found out I had cancer, I have always said that I would use it as a test zone to test everything that I could find that would help in the Complimentary field, just like I do with everything that touches me or my family. I wouldn’t entertain chemo or radiotherapy either, but that is my choice to do this, and it hasn’t happened to me either…how people think they would react and how they react can be very different.

From my viewpoint, after you understand what is going on inside your body from your doctor or oncologist, and please ensure you do understand as it is your body, I think there are three main considerations to address:

  1. Treatment route
  2. Diet & Lifestyle changes
  3. Mental approach

When faced with the prognosis that you have cancer, regardless ofthe type, it can be very frightening, and whether you decide to take the conventional route or the natural one or to try everything possible is completely and utterly up to you, and it is imperative that you do what is right for you as it is you that this is happening to. Below is my battleplan with some thought-provoking points you may want to consider regardless of your chosen action. Remember, I am not a Doctor and certainly no expert, that is your GP and your Oncologist’s roles, but I am just outlining what things I would use to deal with this major, major issue, especially now Dad is affected and needs any help I can offer…and in this battle, every little helps…so I have included even the smallest of tips that may or may not help, but I deal with things in the “lets hit is with everything from all angles”. In my view, even the smallest of vibrational alterations can make a difference and because I deal with things on a physical, emotional, spiritual and magickal level, my viewpoint may seem odd, different or even damn near balmy or cracked, but who cares so long as it helps, even if only improves the quality of your life!!

Battleplan No 1…Rene Caisse’s tonic tea (her “essiac” blend)

There is no doubt in my mind that, should I receive the news that I had cancer, this would be my first port of call. I would drink this tea daily from then on and for the rest of my life. My dad has researched it and has agreed to take it, so I have now made the tea, added some healing magick, and am stocking it in the shop.

Essiac was the invention of Nurse Rene Caisse (the blend given her surname reversed). It was developed way back in the 1920’s. She made it from herbs she could grow herself or were easily available around where she lived. Made from 4 very specific organic herbs in very specific amounts, it has been tried and tested over the years by many many people and deemed helpful and in some cases miraculous. As a nurse with her own clinic, she adapted her formula to the person always working alongside a Doctor, but always from the original formula. It was always in herb form and never tincture – tincture form would be so easy for me to do but, in this instance, I am sticking to the origianl format. It can help and support the body to fight the cancer and even to cope with chemo and radiotherapy too so has to be a useful support whatever road you have taken for your fight. It can even help with surgery as it can help the surgeon be able to remove the cancer more cleanly and we all know that Cancer doesn’t like to be cut. It is the bindweed of the body – even if your remove it all but leave the slightest bit of root, it will come back more vigourously and take over everything it penetrates!!

I have made the formula into 1oz monthly amounts for one person (£5) and you yourself make up the decoction for the month and store it in glass bottles in a cool, dark place (fridge for the bottle in use). To take nightly at bedtime, you mix 30ml decoction in 60ml hot water and sip as tea. In acute circumstances for just one week in four, this mix can be taken twice daily. These doses should never be exceeded as it will have an adverse affect. This isn’t a case of doubling the dose because twice as much will help in half the time…wrong!! 15ml at bedtime in 60ml can be taken as a tonic tea for 3 weeks in four (like Echinacea) to help the body deal with other health issues… Books are available on the subject if you want to read more so ask instore but this would be my 1st stop.

Another point to make here: this ticks all three of the above approaches. You are making the tea yourself and being precise in how, when and why, so you are helping yourself to be in control & not a victim of this disease! That has to be a positive step in the right direction both physically and mentally…

Battleplan No 2 – bucket list

I already have my bucket list made out but I would check it out and plan things to do on the list to give me incentive for keeping well and fighting the fight. This is so important, as to me it matters just as much what goes on in the head as what medicine you take. I think a “bugger ain’t gonna beat me” attitude is extremely useful as you never give in to cancer and the mind is a powerful ally: keep it positive and your mind will be on your side for the fight; become a victim of cancer and the cancer has already won!!

For every baby step you achieve in the battle, reward yourself for your positivety, achievement and effort. Pat yourself on the back at every stage of the way because you are so worth it!! Watch “The Bucket List” with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman and you will see what I mean!! I will be kicking and screaming the whole way!!

Battleplan No 3 – water intake & crystals

Rehydration is a big issue in this country anyway and a lot of aches and pains are simply hydration issues for your body i.e. drink more water and your headaches may go away!! If you are in this fight, and especially if you are taking Rene Caisse’s tea, you need to up your fluid intake to assist your body in ridding itself of the waste and toxins, and the more healthy fluid you drink, the easier life will be for your poor kidneys. Make sure you filter all the water before drinking and add the Water works crystals for helping fight cancer to your jug (personal mineral water). Keep it topped up and remember to change the filter every month too.

I know some of you will poo-poo the thought of carrying crystals around but believe me, this group of crystals has been requested over and over again and those that have fought the battle and won carry them after too, just to help stay that way!! My trio that is well-sought after consists of selenite, fluorite, and quartz, which acts as a battery-pack to the others. I have now added smoky quartz which puts a blanket around you and looks after you and bronzite for dealing with the demand of what this means, so we have added a little support for you emotionally, as well as ones that vibrationally will try and help you physically: everyone needs a little magick.

Battleplan No 4 – diet

When diagnosed with Cancer, you have to put your body under as little stress as possible so it can use all its resources to try and fight. This means excluding all the junk and crap from your diet, as this stuff can actually be exasperating the cancer, and certainly will not be assisting you in your battle. I think it is imperative that you make adjustments to your intake of food and the quality of what you eat. Keep your food clean and simple.

Things like tea, coffee and alcohol should be drastically reduced and rehydration has been discussed above. Include lots of freshly squeezed fruit juices and herb teas alongside your filtered water intake. Food should be as natural as possible, so develop a diet of fresh fruit and vegetables, cold-pressed virgin olive oil and organic wholegrains. Free range eggs can be eaten every other day, as can small quantities of organic meat or fresh fish. Switch from dairy to organic goats cheese and milk and add plenty of nuts and seeds to your diet. Really think about what you are eating as it should be as close to nature and natural as possible e.g. wild poached salmon – tick – smoked salmon – no-go!! It doesn’t come naturally smoked in nature, so its natural structure has been altered. Get a book on diets re Cancer and if you cannot find one, then use the Candidiasis diet.

Now for the Bizarre: the pips and kernals in fruit (except citrus) contain what is known as B17. B17 is harmless in the body…that is unless it meets a cancer cell…then it turns into cyanide and explodes said cell!! This is very simply put but my understanding of what happens. Nowadays, we seldom eat the apple pips, let alone break open a peach kernal and eat the nut inside…yet they can make a small but effective aid in the battle against the mass of invading cells. I, for one, never disgard an apple pip and they just taste of almonds!! What have you to lose?

Supplements are also important. Vitamin and minerals will definitely help the body so speak to your nutritionist and/or dietician (ask the Doctor/hospital for all advice on supplements and diet) and take the best you can.

Battleplan No 5 – lifestyle

Lifestyle changes are part of the serious thinking behind the battle against cancer. Out should go smoking if it hasn’t been elimated already. The added chemicals will not help this battle one little bit.

Relaxation techniques should be brought in to help the body and any stress in your life should be eliminated wherever possible – come on, you need stress like a hole in the head…it really has to go now if you are going to do this. Issues that have eaten away at you should be dealt with and let go…not easy I know but they fester away and help no-one. Indulge yourself in reflexology/aromatherapy massage as often as you need or can afford as this is for your well-being and your treat…back to the bucket list!!

This is a good time to include meditation and visualisation for both health and relaxation. Every night, take time to close your eyes and visualize the inner workings of your body. See your cancer and see your immune system as an army beating the crap out of it. Imagine it getting smaller, and every day repeat this exercise – find whatever works for you but do it every day possible at the same time every day.

Hope this helps your fight…bright blessings from The Green Witch
